Jonathan Sexton - Character Red Workshop
In this 2nd video about unlocking the power of Pinterest to help grow your small business, Jonathan from Character Red Workshop lends insight into viewing your analytics to get the most out of Pinterest.
We know, we know! - ANOTHER thing to manage? Well, all we can do is give you the information and it’s up to you to decide if you think Pinterest can be another tool in your shop. So what do you need to know about analytics? Jonathan does a direct screen share so you can see what it actually looks like through his account.
If you want to learn what drives a pin to be successful, pay attention to these three things by accessing them through the individual pins or visiting your Business Hub. First thing to know about is retention rate or “average play time” as Pinterest calls it. The second thing to look at is the number of saves, which is how many times another viewer saved your specific pin or content. The third thing to be aware of is the number of follows that came from a specific pin.
When you gather up the info from these three pieces of your analytics, you can see the commonalities that your pins share and continue to create similar content that people are responding to, therefore growing your presence on Pinterest, increasing clicks to your website, and hopefully gaining you more sales. Remember that different audiences access different media sites, so utilizing Pinterest may open a door to new viewership.
